The artist's depiction of a purple iris is truly captivating. The delicate strokes and vibrant hues bring the flower to life, evoking a sense of natural beauty and tranquility. The attention to detail and color mastery make this painting a remarkable and enchanting piece of art.

I truly appreciate your response to this one! It makes me smile. I remember painting it and just got lost in the colors and values and should do another like it, just haven't gotten to it. So glad it has a forever home to the right people! You truly made my day!

Thank you so much Luna, I loved painting it even though it was a challenge with all the different hues and values...It's much appreciated!!

SOLD to a new home along with the rose one as a pair, I am so happy they will be together. I know it sounds crazy, but I have a special attachment to each of these as they were special to do in oils and I really loved painting them. Thank you to their new owner John, who loves art and truly will enjoy them. i do appreciate art supporters!!!

I like the way you manage to capture the morning dew on these flowers. This one in particular reminds me of Georgia O'Keffee's iris painting. The burgundy, purple looks lovely. Both the flower paintings have a life of their own. While I found the rose image more poetic, this one is really bold!
Kathy Knopp replied:
Thank you for noticing, yes the dew was hard to do, but I enjoyed the challenge and the colors inspired me to go forward!

This is just the wonder my friend! I love the velvety touch of soft nature of yours in the creation. The droplets are so marvelous here as if the flower is admiring the nature to be fulfilled with all the positiveness by being thankful to it's reason of existence! Love this very admirable, and emotional piece of art, dear kind Kathy! :)
Kathy Knopp replied:
Gosh girl, you make me blush...I love the way you can put words into motion, you know that is a talent in itself! The description is definitely music to my ears....gosh, I wish we didn't have this covid thing, I'd love to meet you, but I cannot travel anymore...enjoy your day and you made mine!

Wow, this had to be difficult and time-consuming to create, but it is marvelous! Fantastic talent!
Kathy Knopp replied:
Thank yo Eileen, it was fun to create, a little tricky to do the dew drops, but somehow I'm hoping it comes thru for those who view it. Much appreciated to have you notice.
