I painted the barn boards onto my panel, then cast around for a subject to place in front. At first sight of these flowers for sale in front of a florist on Main Avenue in ocean grove new jersey, I knew I had found the right thing. Betty bought them while I set up my easel for a demonstration and off we went. I hope to try this motif again soon,
